Did Hamas deliberately invite and desire military action by their many missile attacks on Israeli civilians?

No government can stand idly by while its civilian population are being targetted by constant missile attacks, so it was virtually inevitable that Israel would have to respond with military action. Is this what Hamas wanted? Were these rocket attacks on Israel deliberate provocation in the certain knowledge of what the consequences would be?
Did Hamas deliberately invite and desire military action by their many missile attacks on Israeli civilians?
"HAM-A**" AND "HISBULL-S***" KEEP SAYING WE KILL ONLY A FEW ISRAELIS, THEY KILL MANY OF US!

DOES THAT MAKE SENSE???

STOP FIRING ROCKETS AND BLOWING THEMSELVES UP IN THE AIR, THEN THEY CAN TALK PEACE!
Reply:You know what I don't understand...

1) After 6 decades, have the Palestinian's not learned that they can not defeat Israel with military means?

Do they not understand that Hamas will bring more destruction and death into Palestine?

Have they not thought of the idea of Ghandi-like passive resistance as a better option, because if Israel continues to oppress Palestinians while Palestinians are peacefully protesting and holding protests, it would have a much bigger impact on the international community. The world would not let Israel get away with what its doing while Palestine is doing nothing back.

But now, the oppression of the Palestinian people is semi-silenced because of how Israel justifies itself as defense from Hamas.

2) Why are Muslims on this board not protesting against Saudi Arabia, who one of the richest countries in the middle east should be helping Palestine build schools, hospitals. Instead of investing money into dubai, why isn't Saudi Arabia investing money into Palestine to ressurect their economy and get people to work so they can support their families and that they wont have to be dependent on Israel for food, water, electricity, and medical supplies

Why are Muslims on this board not protesting against Egypt, who built a wall on its borders to keep Palestinian refugees out?

Just a thought.
Reply:Both sides benefit from the fighting, Israel from grabbing all the land they want by force, and Hamas from the financial support of rich Arab sympathizers, so this fighting is hardly unexpected. The losers, as always, are the average civilians who will have their land taken away, get blown up/cluster bombed and of course enjoy none of the benefits of the blood money that their leaders are showered with.
Reply:Of course. They want war, to make the Israelis look bad. They fire rockets in civilian areas so when isreal retaliates, they will hit the civilian areas back. Hamas are a bunch of cowards and I dont know why Palestinians[ Not all] still support that group. Really, i want to believe in their struggle, but you dont gain respect by firing rockets into Israel.
Reply:Yes.

Israel needs to make missiles that release sleeping gas. Put a few blocks to sleep, the walk in and get the terrorist while everyone else ins enjoying a nap.

No civilians get hurt.

OK, A few might in car crashes when they fall asleep, but no building get blown up.
Reply:It is exactly what Hamas wants. They don't care about civilians...there are hardly any civilians in Gaza technically (they all wish to be combatants). Hamas will trade lives for news clips any day. They are cowards. Israel should finish this now once and for all.
