How many people did you invite to your wedding and?

how many people were able to come?

I'm interested as I'm organising my wedding and trying to work out how many people will definitely end up coming who we invite.

Thanks!
How many people did you invite to your wedding and?
We invited about 200 people and we had about 190 show up.

Don' invite a bunch of people in hopes that some will not show because there are always people who show up without ever having RSVP'd and other people who bring unannounced dates.
Reply:Alot of it depends on how many will have to travel, if its on a weekend close to a holiday or sometimes in summer because of family vacations, etc. Definately, not everyone will come.

We had a destination wedding, so of course, many did not come, but we also had a "reception" later on, and probably 90% of those we invited came.
Reply:We invited a bit over 200 and ended up with close to 170 between people invited and people writing names on invites who were not actually invited. Though some of the 200 lived out of country and we already knew they would not be able to come.

They say you should expect about 25% not to come (look up the exact number but I think it was close to that). Something like 15% who do not even RSVP. But I didn't have anything close to that.
Reply:Well we are inviting about 107 but expecting about 100. Most of our family/friends who are invited wil deffinatly be there. But a few cousins that are far away at college wont make it home, and a few of the older relatives may not come. But basically everyone we invite we are expecting to show.
Reply:It will depend on things like when your wedding is happening (Holiday weekends usually aren't a wise choice, etc.), and the economy (if your wedding is long distance and gas prices are high, etc.).

But we invited 200 people, and 140 came to our wedding last summer.
Reply:there is really no way of getting a 100 percent answer on this one. of course the closer the people or to you the better the chances are they will attend. But that is why you don't give the venue an exact head count until several weeks before the wedding.
Reply:Depends on the timing and logistics - if most of your guests are local and you give lots of notice, a high percentage will come. We had one more guest than we initially invited attend.
Reply:We've invited 55 couples. We're anticipating only 80-90 people actually RSVPing and showing. Adults only ceremony and reception.
Reply:We are inviting about 90 and expecting about 70-80. Then again a friend of mine invited 120 and 160+ showed up! You just never know!
Reply:We invited about 410 and had 275 show up but a good deal of the invited guests that were from out of the country and we knew they wouldn't be attending.
Reply:We are inviting 110 and expecting about 90 or so.
Reply:We invited 150 people and 135 showed up. That's what we were counting on so it worked out well.
