How do I make my my green cross Invite as a Friend on my Yahoo 360 page to appear again ?

I notice today 8-21 that it was not located on my Yahoo front page and I was concerned. I have sent out a few invites and someone emailed me that when accepting my invitation the message they received stated not accepting invites. Was unable to locate in Yahoo help questions assistance.

You will not see your own "Add" link if you only click on your "My Page" - which is the "Edit mode" screen of your 360 space. Check how other people view your page by clicking on the drop down menu "Preview as seen by" at the top right of your 360 "My Page". Choose a permission group and click the "Go" button. Then, depending on the permissions that you set up for invitations, you will see the "Add" link.





The first thing to do is to check your permissions though:


Click your "Edit Contact Settings" link under your personal profile picture on the "My Page." Make sure they are set to "Everyone in 360" for now. Click the "Save" button to save your changes. You can always change it whenever you want.





If you are under age 18, then you may limited to setting the most open permission to "Friends of Friends". Read more about permissions here:

UPDATE: Although, I checked your 360 space and I can see your "Add" link. The permission is likely on Public.





NOTE: The "Add" link often appears as a "Invite as a Friend" link to people who might already be on your Favorites list (denoted by a green cross %26amp; a link to it on the left side of your "My Friends" page). People are automatically Favorites until they accept your invitation.





Here are some additional things to check out since your link seems public:


1) If a person's Yahoo! 360 page is not activated, you will not be able invite them. It will say that they are not accepting invitations at this time. Everyone has 360 attached to their Yahoo account, but it stays dormant until it is activated (i.e. used for the first time). The person receiving the invite has to go to http://360.yahoo.com , click the "Get Started" link and go through the process. Then enter their space through the "Yahoo! 360 Home" link on the upper right corner of the 360 main page.


2) If they have an activated 360 page, but their Communications Settings are set to "Friends of Friends" instead of "Everyone 360" in terms of invitations - and you are not a "Friends of Friends" - then there may be a problem when they try to accept your invitation (if they even get it).


3) The person is on your "ignore" list, thus communications from you are not received. See http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/fri... for more information.





Otherwise, it could be a 360 glitch. You both should just delete the invite trail and try again, if the other person hasn't shown up as a connected friend on your page. See http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-4D4zxsg6f... for more about 360 glitches.
